The Kinderperspectief LAB is the place where we work with young people, care professionals, network partners and creative thinkers to find concrete, out-of-the-box solutions to social problems or challenges within the youth care field. Think of questions like: how can we best encourage young people to take steps toward independence? How can we better help young people make concrete plans for his or her future? How can we organize youth care differently in 2024 so that young people feel better served?
Methodology Children's Perspective LAB
Each Children's Perspective LAB begins with an introductory meeting in which you get to know the people around you a little better. Then, over two evenings, we go through a structured process consisting of four essential steps:
Analyze: we examine the dynamics of the youth aid field.
Distillation: we crystallize the specific problem we want to address.
Brainstorming: we generate creative opportunities and solutions.
Project idea: we concretize our plan of action.
At each step we use creative methods so that the LAB always remains engaging. The questions we ask during a LAB treatments come about because of questions that we at Children's Perspective have ourselves or because of input we receive from the youth field. You are guaranteed to leave after each session with a head full of new ideas.
